painless on OS X? if you want to use an outdated ruby version i guess.
i thought ruby development would be easier on the Mac, after all
that's the cool OS running in most demos. i'm REALLY disappointed
after having fumbled my way through setting up merb, postgresql and
sequel. macports and fink both are S L O W and a pain to setup. no 256-
color terminal support for remote work in VIM. ruby is so much nicer
with linux and netbeans and you can actually develop on an OS that
resembles what the app will be deployed on.
