I'm unsure if this belongs here but I thought I might as well post it here too.
When running specs with a bundled merb application using dm and webrat my specs sometimes get cut off with the following message "[BUG] object allocation during garbage collection phase". The file blamed for the error message seem to vary each time. Sometimes it's even dm and webrat related. I'm using ubuntu 8.10 and the latest REE with rubygems 1.3.1. One odd behaviour is that if I change the log level to a more verbose one, the specs almost never fail with an error, but when switching to less verbose level to specs always fail. Also this behaviour is always bound to running specs. Just running the server seems rock solid. I know a couple libs have had the above problems but in those cases it was related to ruby 1.8.7, REE still uses 1.8.6 and I've never had these problems until I ported to merb 1.0. Has anyone encountered the above situation, and if so - did you find a solution?
