I posted something about this a while ago. I still don't have a solution. Since the password slice doesn't inherit from my application controller, my https redirects don't work.
I have tried a few hacks in merb-auth and still don't have a satisfactory solution. At this point, I'm probably going to hard code the redirects into my nginx config or maybe the router. I find it hard to believe others don't have the same issue.
