Since very flat apps have no init.rb, usual trick that you see in
editors
("aha, here is our config/init.rb or config/environment.rb, here we go")
no longer work. Even "regular" apps may have customized layout,
in fact, it is almost inevitable in a larger application.
I can think of making default spec helper look for config/init.rb or
using
".." as a fallback, but there are always edge cases you don't think of,
and more "smart" things you add here and there, more often people
consider your decisions rather stupid.
spec/spec_helper.rb is something you can easily tweak for your needs :)
