I wrote a simple ruby wrapper for the java-based pd4ml, works great and cheap too.
See post on my blog www.extonrails.com "html2pdf with ruby" I did lots of research on this. Tried many tools. Prince is great but expensive. Try pd4ml free and license for < 200.
