I'd like to keep merbunity as well. Options I see: 1) We (or I) can take over, we keep the site functionality and all the content as it is. We could add donation stuff to the site which could solely pay for the running costs. 2) We take the domain and create github pages under the github.com/ merb account and migrate content there. And direct the domaint to the GH pages.
I can provide hosting for free now. But it's going to be far less pleasant as the Heroku stuff. The most important is the content. That is what I really want to keep the most. However having site where we can post new stuff/tutorials screencasts is really important as well. What do you think about the Github pages? Is it the possibility?
