Well today I finalized the purchase of a Euro 300TDt 1991 I believe, it was ordered in 1990, but the maintenance book shows Ablieferungskontrolle Werk Sindelfingen Jan 13 1992 (Delivery control work Sindelfingen January 13 1992) The front part of the manual has the original owners name and a date of Sept 1st 1990 written in.
John, sounds like a fantastic car. But how the heck did it get here and get registered? I thought there were pretty much no graymarket cars after 1985 or so, unless you're willing to pay $$$ for "conversion" to satisfy the EPA and DOT. (Assuming you're in the USA, of course.)
