My thanks to all who had diagnostic suggestions re: this problem, and
to Mich, who kindly offered his personal help. I've been offline for
a couple days, but meanwhile, the problem has mysteriously fixed
itself. Shifts fine. I don't think my accelerator linkage lubing or
contact cleaning had any effect, so I can only assume that I got
something good and wet with the power wash, and that it eventually
dried out. Anyway, thanks again for the diagnostics and offers of
help!
