The one time I played with charging the AC on my wife's Infiniti (R134), the
FTM said that the pressure readings were dependent on the air temperature
passing over the condenser, and there was a chart to show the temperature
and corresponding pressures.
45 psi (low side) might get you close, but you really need to have some more
information in order to get it right. There was a generic chart with the
charging kit that I bought at Wally World; it didn't match up exactly with
the FTM, but was pretty close and better than guessing.
