[MBZ] '85 300D u-joint

have the driveline apart on Dad's 300D replacing the bearing and support,  
and I was feeling the u-joint and it has a slight catch right at dead  
center in both directions.  This doesn't feel normal to me.  Do I need to  
replace it?  TIA all,
