Ran across this article describing the advantages of filtering diesel fuel
before it goes into a diesel engine. While the article deals with boat
engines, it looks like the info is very appropriate to our MB diesels. Te
article describes a test of different filters used during fueling to prevent
water and other junk entering the tank. As you can imagine, having a boat
engine die during a critical moment can be very destructive - even fatal.
They tested 10 filters and found the inexpensive ones effective.
