Sometime in the two weeks my car was down for the rear end rebuild and IP gasket replacement my vac pump decided to quit. Its very possible that it is just a coincidence, but I doubt it. I can't think of anything I did to harm it, but I did remove the exhaust line and accidentally left it disconnected for my initial test run. It blurted out a bit of oil (diaphrams ruptured correct?), but it has not spewed a drop since that incident.

I have not hooked a mityvac to it, but there is still a very slight vacuum being generated (I have power brakes, and can feel it with my finger on a vac port), but not very much (all other things vacuum don't work at all).

I'm hoping its just a check valve that needs cleaning or something similar as the diaphram repair kit is a crazy $91 from Rusty... and there were NO symptoms of failure anywhere before this.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
