Thanks Mitch and Marshall, Because of winter coming, I think I will use type A for now. The reservoir has a slight leak, so since I got the car two and a half years a go I have topped it off with type A once a month or so. Should track down the leak, fix it and then switch to Mobil 1 ATF-which I use in the tranny. Not sure where to start looking for the leak. Dwight.

Otherwise, flush the system out with dexIII/mercon so you know what's in it. But the fact that you're asking this question implies that you've never changed the fluid. I'd at least change the fluid in the reservoir and replace the filter. When I bought my 300SD, there was NO filter in the bottom of the reservoir. Some maroon had removed it and never put a new one in, or even returned the dirty filter to its' home. _______________________________________ For used parts email [EMAIL PROTECTED] For new parts see www.buymbparts.com For repairs see www.oldworldauto.com To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://striplin.net/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_striplin.net
