You are missing the point, David. Mobil 1 15-W-50 does NOT get thick at 
-20F. Those of us who use Mobil 1 were using the 15-W-50 until they came out 
with the 5-W-40 recently. Trust me, my 240D "turned over" w/ 15-W-50 as if 
the outside air temp was summer like.
