Not to mention GM's entry into FWD compacts with the X-Body (Citation, Phoenix, 
Omega,
Skylark).
I bought a five door four speed Citation in 1985 with 145k on the odo, scrapped 
it in 1989
with 208k on it. Iron Duke engine was all original as far as I know. I had to 
rebuild the
carb and replace a choke pulloff solenoid during my ownership. The shift 
interlock came
unbolted at 168k, and I was too cheap to replace the obviously worn 1-2 gear 
fork when I
had the transaxle apart. When the fork finally broke during a speed shift into 
2nd, I sold
the car to a junkyard for $20
and bought a new Horizon.
