The 114/115 is still frowned on

I've been around long enough to remember when the 1968 Square Line (114 / 115 body) Mercedes wasn't a real Mercedes. Everyone complained that it didn't look like a Mercedes, that the grill wasn't tall enough, etc, etc.

Then out came the redesigned 450SEL in 1972. What horrors! It just wasn't a Mercedes anymore!

I think we call these "Non-Mercedes" classics today.

Which of todays Mercedes will be collectable in 20 - 30 years?

Subject: [MBZ] Cars of which we dare not speak....

Christopher is goading me but it ain't workin'.

<<Is your 4 year old car a Benz? I'd love to hear about
it...does it have an integrated garage door opener?>.

Three integrated door openers, in fact. I use two.

<<Parktronic?>>

Not needed on a small car like a C.

<< Sirius Satellite radio?>>

Pah!

<<Have you used the MB concierge service to order movie tickets or send
flowers to your wife (what do they charge for that? is
it a monthly fee or is it every time you call)...>>

Tele-Aid, standard in '01, not only has an annual fee after the first year but a charge for every time it's used. It's now extra cost and I won't buy it. If and when.

<<Does it have a talking GPS?>>

No, But my other car does.

<<Have you ever wrecked it off a cliff .......>>

Ask Striplin about that sort of thing.
