Hey Craig, This is the way the terminal to the drivers side rear light looks like
A B | | 1 2 3 4 5 6* A & B are the Right & Left plate lights they connect through a terminal ( | ) to connections 1 & 2. As it stands neither of them have power when the lights are on. 6* does have power to the tail light and I have jumped 6 to 1 in order to pass the inspection. The diagram attached shows that there is a connector (43) between the light and the dash mounted switch.
