Seems like a lister mentioned a friend offering $4k for a wondertruck SUV (Excursion, Escalate, something like that) that had been marked down to $8k and having his offer accepted without hesitation. If you need a work truck, want luxury interior, and don't need an open pickup it's a buyer's market out there. Nothing wrong with throwing a gas engine compressor, framing nailers, and other construction stuff in the back of a Navigator if you paid $4k for it.
