Describe the tandem to me. Is it the conventional type (one rider behind
the other) or side-by-side? I would assume that it's a conventional tandem
thus the need for wireless communications. I paid $1800 for my side-by-side
tandem which would have cost me $2300 new including fenders, air horn and
lights. I added clipless pedals and installed backpacks on the back of each
seat which work very well for spare tubes, the pump and tool kit. Oh, and
did I mention the STEREO? It consists of a set of battery-powered amplified
speakers connected to either a walkman or iPod. Each backpack contains a
speaker, and the musical device is in the one on the right. Mercedes
content: I bet that it can beat a 240D to 20MPH!
