OK, so you have slightly lost me here. Is there also a 350SDL?

The 6 cylinder engine in the 300SDL was the basis for the rodbender.  BUT, the 
3.0 version was awesome. The problem
was Mercedes bored them out to 3.5 when they put them in the last of the 126's 
and then the 140.  Don't confuse the
300SDL engine with the rodbender.  They may come from the same stock engine, 
but one was great the other was not
(with extrememly limited exceptions like Wilton's).
