Pull the hose & take it to a local shop that rebuilds hydraulic hoses. They
should have you "fixed up" in a couple of hours.

Subject: [MBZ] A/C Major Hose issue - W123 300TD

My mechanic says I need a new AC "double hose". *http://tinyurl.com/5b2zmw
*
The part is obscenely expensive ($250+ even from Rusty) and the labor to
install is 3 hrs.

Question: I removed the same hose from the fried engine on the 1983 300TD
that I am restoring. Is there a way to test this hose, other than doing the
labor and installing it on the compressor to see if it holds refrigerant?
