Pull the hose & take it to a local shop that rebuilds hydraulic hoses. They should have you "fixed up" in a couple of hours.

Question: I removed the same hose from the fried engine on the 1983 300TD that I am restoring. Is there a way to test this hose, other than doing the labor and installing it on the compressor to see if it holds refrigerant?
