I just did my first 2.4L Twin Cam, and it's been at least ten years since I had
the coil package off a Quad Four so I had to learn all over again. Went easier
than expected, took me 50 leisurely minutes including a compression test and 15
minutes spent looking for the Nevr-Seez. Four bolts, one electrical
connection,
pull off the coil pack, then easy access to the plugs. I love inline engines
with the plugs on top. I was afraid the plugs would be stuck after 104k and 11
years, but no trouble there. Wasn't too thrilled with the compression, 230,
230,
211, 228. Plug seemed loose and didn't look right in the 211 cylinder. Idles
very smoothly now with new NGK G-Power Platinums in it. Good luck with the 5.4
Donald.

Mitch.
