When he got home, he had over 500 miles on the tank and the needle was reading about half full. When he filled it up, he found out he had been getting 24.1mpg, cruising 55-60mph in 6th gear, accelerating slowly, shifting at 2000rpm, and trying hard to stay off the brakes. That's high Cummins mileage, I'd never known it was possible with a 2001 Ford.
