Ridiculous.  (The tree huggers in question, not you, Pete.)  Gray
water recycling is one of the BEST things you can do for the
environment!  It's a crime that it is specifically forbidden in so
many localities---even Portland, Oregon, supposedly a hotbed of green
building.
