I don't believe the Hydrak was in any 110 or 111 cars in the US. It might have still been available in the rest of the world as an option. The only transmissions I have seen in 110 and 111 cars in the USA are the 4 speed auto or the standard 4 speed. They Hydrak, or hydro-mechanical clutch transmission worked nicely, but there were lots of adjustments and every one had to be right in sequence, or you burned out the clutch, or it didn't work. I have a shop manual that describes the process. I NEVER wanted to do it.

We had a 1959 220b serial number 000499 that had to be one of the first fin cars to hit US shores. It was an Auto.

Hydrak?

It was an automatic clutch used in Pontons and Fintails. It didn't work out too well and most were replaced with conventional manuals.
