The trunk looks pretty clean for the age and type. There is rust
that appears to be mostly surface rust in the right wheelwell, and
that should be taken care of. (And looked at closely before purchase)
As for the "guts hanging out under the dash" it is missing the
cardboard liner. Pontons had cardboard heater boxes that
disintegrated. the 110,111,112 had cardboard under dash
liners. almost all are gone or in very bad shape after 40 years. If
you want plastic panels under the dash, stick with 123 and newer. I
didn't see anything under the dash that looks out of place. There
are added speaker wires, but that is not unusual.
