Sorry - my mistake - I *assumed* (always a bad thing to do) that since the
HSA plans I'd read all req'd forfeiture - that was a total of 5 planes
IIRC - one was federal, one was state and the others private insurance.

That is not true for our HAS. New rules for 2008 allow whatever we do not
use to roll over to the next year. What we have not used this year will
cover our initial out of pocket costs for next year.

Be careful how much you choose to place in the HSA acct -most (all?)
require
you forfeit any money not used. For us, doc co-pays &, Rx co-pay are the
only thing we need a HSA for but it's easy to calculate how much is needed
in the HSA - 1 doc per mo, 3 Rx per month. Until the govt changes the Rx
rquirements allowing doc to write Rx for 3 month worth of meds reducing
the
number of doc appts needed.
A lot to consider as I'm sure you do not want to leave any money on the
table - be sure to estimate low.

Might have to check into that if the time comes. Now what is a HSA
plan?
I know when we checked before it was something like 800 a month or more
for the family.
You get a high deductible insurance plan, and then you can set up a
savings account to cover the deductible. You get to deduct the money you
put in the savings account, and can spend it on anything medical related,
including stuff like braces that insurance doesn't cover.
