'Had the receptacle that my van block heater was plugged into in MI UP on a switch in the kitchen; flipped it on soon after getting up; engine, etc., would be ready by the time I went out in 50 min. to an hour or so. 'Even had a small elec. heater sitting on the engine cover inside the van; this heater also got power from the switched receptacle. Inside of the van was nice and toasty and all windows clear by the time I got in
