I believe that a Cisco Cerrtification (of various levels) is the most
desirable in the IT world of today......

What sort of positions would an A+ certification get you? I was of
the impression that the A+ certification itself wasn't that big of
the deal, but the Network+ and Server+ certifications were. MS
certifications seemed to have lost their luster in the past few
years, at least that's the way it appeared to me when I was doing
IT work.
FWIW, I took an A+ practice test a year or two ago and aced it. My
employer at the time didn't require it, so there was no incentive
to spend the money for the certification.
