All this talk about glass has me wondering... The gasket on the windshield on the 78 300D is leaking. Naturally, I'd like to rectify this before it starts raining - the water drips right onto the driver's seat and wets parts of your pants that you'd really not have rainwater drops on.
I've usually suggested that people use glass shops for work like this, but the glass shops around here want a mint. How hard is it to get the windshield out? (I've replaced straight glass many times before) Should I just forget it and use RTV? TIA. K
