My Volvo (the one I just got rid of) had those Michelin Rainforce tires on it. 
I thought they were great tires, but they had dry rot.  8 years is a long time. 
 Just keep an eye on them.  I thought they had great traction, but were not 
very sturdy in the twisties.  But, you are talking about a 190D, so you are not 
going to be breaking any speed records.
