Different players will make a difference too. I've found from bitter experience that very expensive players will give you excellent results, I've also found that really cheap players give good results and mid-price players are usually garbage. The best DVD player I ever had was an Apex I bought at Wal-Mart (before I stopped going there) which was like $30. I have a Phillips that was more like $150 that is terrible, there are loads of DVDs it just won't play.
