When I lived in Illinois (Will county, one of the "collar" counties around Cook) there were gas stations all along the county line because it was about $0.20/gallon cheaper than buying gas in Cook county due to higher taxes. BTW diesel here where I am now is 2.09 last I looked -- but that was a couple of days ago.
