8. With the wood out of the car, examine the staples securing the
black
plastic switch armature to the underside of the panel. You will
likely find some of them have loosened, and although you can push them
back in, they will not stay. Use VERY small wood screws to replace
the loose staples. Here, you're on your own - one false move with a
too-long screw and you'll ruin the
top side of your wood.
I would suggest a glue like Shoe Goo.
