What's the hex size?
If it's no more than 15mm, I'd say go after it with 1/4" drive tools.
I once bought a 15mm, 1/4" drive MAC socket because it was more compact than my
15mm Snap-On. The Snap-On is straight walled, the MAC necks down from 16+mm at
the hex end to maybe 11mm at the square end.
