my neighbor gave me the guages and a very large tank of 134a.
_Was_ the car already converted to R134a? If not, I'd suggest one of several other alternatives. The correct charge is, IIRC, 80% of the listed R12 weight.
Or should I just buy 3 cans and put the 36oz in it?
