Or more interesting, I changed the oil last night in the 87 300D and noticed a disconnected vacuum line. Grabbed the keys to the 87 300TD to compare, and noticed that the factory looms were routed way different. Because of this, the lengths of the hoses were different. Caught me off guard for a minute, but the color coding pointed me in the right direction. Car seems to shift a lot better now, we'll see if it fixes the flaring in the 2-3 shift. Moral of the story: I guess same year same engine same chassis (both 124) isn't enough similarity... K
