The original IP's fuel shutoff arm didn't seem to fully spring back
into the open position when the engine started, and I theorize that
this had something to do with my hot start problems. Try comparing
the fuel shutoff arm action and range of motion to another IP. I
strongly suspect this is the source of your issues.
This is precisely what problems with the vacuum shutoff valve or
improper vacuum to it WILL cause. Fairly common.
