They were talking about the same thing on the radio today - they said
"numerous cars with less than 10,00 miles on them" were going to the
crusher - and they thought it was a real shame to crush them. Someone else
said only the engine was being crushed - the rest could be parted out.
Don't know which is true.
Those owners are going to be disappointed going from a 420SEL to a Honda
Fit! Plus, after a few months of new car ownership they may find the
payments are more than they can handle. It'll be like the people who bought
houses with no income - all over again!

So today I was over in OKC helping the manager out there with some setups
on some dealerships and was at the Bob Moore Mazda store in Edmund (for OK
Don reference) and was looking at their big pile of cash for clunker cars
in the back. I was sickened to discover a couple of very nice 420SEL's,
one was the updated new interior post 89 style. Only had 130k on it.
Geez!!!! Aside from that, there were plenty of nice looking pickups,
blazers, suburbans and various other cars. It is such a shame. These
cars would normally sell at independent used car lots, but now they just
get crushed.
