I can vouch for Marshall's experience. I've owned 15 Mercedes and have 
replaced shocks in about ..... 18 Mercedes, including the ones on my oldest 
Son's cars. The "youngest" Mercedes I've bought to date had 135,000 miles on 
the clock and in every case, I replaced the original shocks. Most had over 
150,000 miles when I replaced the shocks.

Put Monroe shocks on you Mercedes if you'd like. I tried that once and they 
lasted 35,000 miles. That's about 8 months of driving for me.
