Duct tape isn't very elastic, and the adhesive residue is horrible.
OTOH, the adhesive on electrical tape tends to creep/slip sometimes.
Doesn't need to be elastic, and you don't want it creeping
loose.  Use it, and Goo Gone (etc.) to remove the tape residue.
Don't put it in the heat, keep the car shaded/garaged.
