Apple rarely has bad releases but when they do they're doozys. 10.2.something would eat the MBR of any attached Firewire800 drives, all the data on the drive was lost...

This sort of thing is fairly unusual for Apple, most times there are not major "oops" sorta things in a released version, but I suppose anything is possible.
