I once saw one repaired with a 2" or 3" gate hinge. Last I heard it's still
working for a couple of years and has better 'feel' than the original.

Subject: [MBZ] Accel pedal
So last night driving the 300SD the accel pedal was sticking/not pushing
down easily. I just checked it, it looks like the little tab that is on
the back of the pedal has detached from the plastic fitting that is on the
metal arm. I can't tell if the little fitting should be part of the pedal
itself or if the tab actually attaches to the fitting somehow. do I need
to order a new one (and the buymbparts web site is not up) or can I
reattach it somehow?
