I agree. my 62 190Dc had a shoulder strap, but no lap belt. I used
the shoulder harness anyway. My 66 200D came without belts, but has
the mounts. I put in seatbelts salvaged from a volvo. I often
wondered why we don't have full harness and helmets in cars.
Especially in and around big cities.
You're of the opinion that, seat belts won't keep you alive in a crash.
There is data to show that wearing eat belt will reduce the
morbidity of an auto crash. I'll go with the data.
