You have to make a pate for both the block and the oil filter housing, then you can moiunt the filter remote. It is never as good as having the right blok, because there is always a danger of the hose being worn through, caught , or leaking from age and causing a catastrophic failure.

But you should be able to cut the base off the new filter, adapt hose fittings to it, bolt it to the block, and run a remote filter somewhere
