When I was in high school my choices were a Ford Tempo and a GMC Jimmy, guess what I usually tried to drive when I took a young lady out? Big back seats definately have their uses. When I have kids and they get to be teenagers if I have boys I'm going to buy all sub-compacts for our family, if I have girls I'll only allow them to date a boy driving a subcompact. I dated a girl for awhile who drove a Geo Metro. She was quite independant and insisted on taking her car frequently. I was surprised to find how flexable I could be when presented with proper incentive. -Curt Date: Wed, 26 Oct 2005 12:43:18 -0700 From: "Gabriel S." <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [MBZ] 87 300D - To: Mercedes mailing list <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 I really don't care for a big back seat since I'm always siting in the drivers! Any moderately efficient engine will give more MPG's on diesel. I doubt that a compression ignition engine run on gasoline will be 30% more efficient than current technology using a spark plug. I'm all for increasing engine efficiency, but we are already close to the limits imposed by physics. I expect the next logical step will be to extract energy from the waste heat of combustion. -Dave Walton 94 S350 99 E300 On 10/25/05, Christopher McCann <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > In reading about HCCI, it annoys me that they say it > is 'like a diesel' or 'like it's diesel cousin'...I > guess this bugs me b/c I have read about Diesel > himself and see how he envisaged the engine.
