Mine also exhibited this errant behavior, so my "solution" was to tie system vacuum semi-permanently to the footwell vacuum pod. Works ok, until you need full defrost. I need to do some serious diagnostics this Fall/Winter, cuz I'm beyond tired of having a defective ACC.
