Its best to look for a Lemforder or Moog replacement part, napa seems to have a
problem with suppliers of aftermarket parts. Sometimes you'll get a made in
canada or the even worse aisan made part and you can bet its not even close to
the original.

Subject: [MBZ] W123 outer tie rods -- any experience on here?

Bought a set of outer tie rods for my '77 240D. When we tried to install
them yesterday afternoon we found that they are too fat. The box says they
are 16mm size. It was really close so I am thinking that maybe the size
should be 15mm? We got them at NAPA.

When I check www.buymbparts.com <http://www.buymbparts.com> I see the tie
rod end but no dimensions. I'd like to order from Rusty but I must have
these Tuesday evening because my mechanic is going away for two weeks on
Saturday and I am tired of keeping my car "in town only" due to bad tie
rods.

Did NAPA just blow it on the parts (we double checked the number and that is
what they show for my vehicle) or are there different diameter screws
available? I don't think it is a 1977/1978 sort of error, because the NAPA
site showed the same part for both years.

I need to get the part ordered tomorrow from someone. Any assistance would
be appreciated.
