I'm not one of the older guys, but I have. I remember not too many years ago 87 octane fell below a buck a gallon for a while, but before that, I remember when the price came down after the crunch in the early eighties. > 2. I'm not aware of any (and yes, I still spend time in socal), but the only car club I'm a 'member' of is not necessarily mainstream, and it's up in the bay area. But as far as diesel, who'd want to follow a diesel? Kinda kills off the idea of a cruise :) K
