If you already have a lot of bugs in the tank, the Biobor can kill them and
then the dead ones clog the filter. The good news is that it won't happen
again if you continue the biocide.

I
bought Biobar at West Marine which has a local store.  The label gave
all kinds of warnings about being sure to use the correct amount and
mix it very thoroughly with the fuel.  After one Biobar treated
tankful, the screen filter in the tank stopped up.  I suspect the
Biobar.  That said, after cleaning the tank, I plan to use Biobar and a
water dispersant (or a water separator) to keep it clean.  Do you know
of a good water dispersant?
